Newborn and ROTA  Nannies

Sourcing Infant Care and 24‑Hour Family Support for Your Family

The Reality of Newborn and ROTA Placements and Why Expert Guidance Matters

Caring for a newborn requires specialized knowledge, trust, and structure. These roles go far beyond typical childcare—they are professional arrangements that help parents transition confidently through the earliest months and years of their child’s life.

Hello Nanny! isn’t a traditional agency. We offer guided, end-to-end partnerships, specifically meeting your family where they are. Families receive nationwide access to a network of career newborn caregivers, along with expert support for sourcing, screening, credential verification, and contract structuring. We help you understand the full landscape of care options and confidently select the level of support that fits your household, your rhythms, and your growing family.

Understanding the Roles

Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)

A Newborn Care Specialist works on a short‑term contract, typically from birth through about six months of age. These professionals are trained to establish healthy sleep and feeding routines, assist with postpartum recovery, and guide parents through the earliest stages of infant development.

Newborn Nanny

A Newborn Nanny provides longer‑term support, usually from birth through the toddler years, up to around three years old. This role blends the expertise of a newborn specialist with the steady presence of a long‑term nanny who adapts care as the child grows.

Rota Nanny

A Rota Nanny, or rotational nanny, is part of a team that offers continuous, 24‑hour coverage in alternating schedules such as one or two weeks on followed by equal time off. This system ensures uninterrupted care while preventing caregiver fatigue and maintaining consistency for the family.
