Bilingual Nanny Needed – San Francisco & Costa Rica

Location: Marin, San Francisco, and Costa Rica

Start Date: ASAP

Children: One child

Compensation: $40-$55 per hour

Schedule: Weekday flexibility, 3 weeks on, 1 week off

Options: 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM

On-call: Occasional weekends and late nights (up to 10:30 PM)

Family Overview:
A dynamic and adventurous travel-loving family with a passion for farming is seeking an educated, bilingual nanny to join their household. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and knowledgeable, bringing a vibrant energy to activities and making learning both enjoyable and enriching for their child. Flexibility, adaptability to a variable schedule, and a willingness to travel are essential. A love for cooking and a proactive, positive attitude are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage the child with music, dancing, museum visits, art classes, and other enriching activities.
  • Support and enhance homeschooling efforts; the child participates in online school from noon to 2:30 PM, with parents teaching in the morning. This includes:
    – Assisting with and facilitating curriculum-based activities and educational projects.
    – Providing additional educational support in subjects where the child may need extra help.
    – Creating and implementing supplemental learning activities that align with the child’s interests and learning goals.
    – Tracking and reporting the child’s academic progress to parents.
    – Assist with farm-related activities, including educating the child about sustainable farming practices.
    – Participate in and facilitate hands-on learning experiences related to farming, such as gardening, and harvesting.
    – Provide driving as needed.
    – Cook and support the child’s interest in becoming a chef, including preparing farm-fresh meals and involving the child in cooking activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of childcare or nannying experience.
  • Extensive experience working with on-call families is a plus.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Complete proficiency in English.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
