Part-Time Nanny – Pullman, WA

Location: Pullman, WA

Start Date: ASAP

Children: Ages 5 ½ & 2

Compensation: $25/hr based on qualifications and experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible)

Options: 8 AM – 5 PM, 12 PM – 6 PM, or 8 AM – 1 PM | On-call and occasional weekends, with the potential for late stays

Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours per week

Family Overview:
An active and busy family in Pullman, Washington, is seeking a part-time, qualified, experienced nanny to become an integral part of their household. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and imagination to the role, making activities enjoyable and engaging for the children. They should maintain a consistently positive attitude, be highly reliable, and demonstrate enthusiasm in all aspects of the job. Both kids will be in school FT and PT!

Responsibilities:

  • Light household duties include vacuuming main areas, cleaning counters and surfaces, dusting, and sweeping when kids are in school.
  • Ensuring children’s rooms are tidy by sweeping and vacuuming regularly and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Handling the children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes.
  • Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children as needed.
  • Running various errands for the family, such as grocery shopping, picking up supplies, and other necessary tasks to support the household.
  • Initially, there will be no driving responsibilities with the children until trust and familiarity are established.
  • Working closely with the mother to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. This includes managing the children’s schedules, coordinating extracurricular activities, and assisting with planning and organizing family schedules.
  • Engaging the children in fun, imaginative, and productive after-school activities. This involves creating educational and entertaining activities, supervising playtime, and helping with homework and other learning opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of childcare or nannying experience
  • Extensive experience working with on-call families is a plus
  • College degree preferred
  • Up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Complete proficiency in English
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • No criminal history
  • At least 3 impeccable childcare references
  • Demonstrates flexibility and availability for on-call duties
  • Proactive and self-sufficient attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable and enthusiastic, with a positive spirit
  • Must be up-to-date with COVID-19, T-Dap, and Flu vaccines
