Live-In Nanny Position – Bellingham, WA

Location: Bellingham, WA

Start Date: ASAP

Children: Three (elementary to teenage age)

Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Shifts: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 2:15 PM – 9:00 PM

Overnights: Scheduled in advance; flat fee of $150 per night

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Benefits: 2 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, Federal holidays off, and a Nanny car provided.

Live-in accommodation: Furnished basement apartment with kitchenette, bathroom, washer/dryer, and access to the main house

Family Overview:
A busy and active family in Bellingham, WA, is seeking a live-in (or live-out) full-time nanny to assist with managing and supervising their three children. The position involves supporting the parents in daily activities related to the children. The ideal candidate must be flexible, able to communicate effectively about children’s behavior and setting boundaries with the family, and be a professional and strong figure in the household.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of three children
  • Assist with drop-offs and pick-ups for extracurricular activities and school
  • Support children’s development through research and guidance
  • Communicate with parents regarding children’s activities and development
  • Prepare meals and snacks for the children
  • Manage children’s packing for school and extracurricular activities
  • Organize the household, ensuring children’s toiletries, snacks, and groceries are stocked (grocery delivery is an option)
  • Maintain cleanliness in children’s areas and handle their laundry
  • Assist with childcare-related tasks as needed
  • Perform overnight care when parents are out of town

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in family assistance, childcare, or nannying
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a strong work ethic
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships with both children and parents
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents
  • Formal training in ADHD and ODD preferred
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID-19, Tdap, flu)
