Our esteemed nanny agency is currently representing a professional family seeking a dedicated and reliable personal assistant/nanny to join their dynamic household. We cannot stress enough the significance of finding the perfect match for this distinguished family.

They are looking forward to welcoming an individual with a proactive mindset, someone who thrives on taking initiative and possesses a “no job is too big or too small” attitude. Hand-holding is not an option, as the family’s demanding schedules cannot accommodate it. The ability to take initiative and figure things out independently is essential. In this position, approximately 80% of your responsibilities will revolve around providing personal assistance to the mother, while the remaining 20% will involve fulfilling nanny duties for the children. 

They are a vibrant and energetic family, consisting of two busy working parents who prioritize quality time spent together during evenings and weekends with their children. Their twin girls, aged 9, are involved in various after-school activities, necessitating your assistance with carpool pickups and coordinating their schedules. These “girly girls” have a passion for dancing, singing, gymnastics, and outdoor play, as well as enjoying movies and games. Additionally, the family has two adored dogs that require walks and affection, making comfort with pets a vital requirement. As a personal assistant/nanny, your role will be multifaceted, blending elements of household management and childcare.

Our family needs an independent thinker who is two steps ahead and ready to pitch in wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of the household and provide the working parents with a sense of assurance. Top-notch organization and time management skills are a must in this position. The family values someone who is proactive, someone who anticipates needs and gets things done without constant guidance.

While they have an Au Pair who manages their morning routine, our family may require assistance during the afternoon into evening hours with their children.

The number of hours needed can range from 30-40+ per week. However, the family places utmost importance on work ethic, reliability, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work. Flexibility is crucial, as the schedule may vary.

This role requires a “divide and conquer” approach, where clear and professional communication is crucial. As the personal assistant/nanny, you will work closely with the mother to coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs for the girls. If the mother’s schedule allows her to pick the girls up from school and take them to their activities, your focus will be on proactively managing tasks and responsibilities at the house. However, if the mother’s schedule does not permit her to handle the girls’ transportation, you will step in and ensure they are safely transported to their activities.

Our family is looking forward to saying hello to someone who is travel-ready. When the mother is traveling, she may require assistance in picking up the kids from school and taking them to their afternoon activities. Alternatively, there may be instances where she needs someone to accompany her during domestic travel (with very rare international travel) to provide support.

Furthermore, as a personal assistant, you will be expected to assist the mother with her social media accounts and actively participate in planning and executing events she is organizing. It is essential to have experience with social media platforms and possess strong tech savvy to excel in this aspect of the role.

While culinary expertise is not mandatory, the family would greatly appreciate your willingness to engage in meal preparation 1-2 times a week. Whether it’s whipping up homemade meals or providing easy options, this will be seen as a bonus. In addition to childcare and scheduling responsibilities, you will be expected to perform various household management tasks. Some of these tasks include:

  1. Light housekeeping: Keeping the common areas of the house tidy and organized, including cleaning up after activities with the children, doing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces.

  2. Laundry: Assisting with the children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away their clothes. Occasionally, you may be asked to help with the family’s laundry as well.

  3. Grocery shopping: Occasionally assisting with grocery shopping and running errands, ensuring that the household is well-stocked with necessary supplies and groceries.

  4. Organization: Assisting with organizing and decluttering various areas of the house, such as playrooms, bedrooms, and storage spaces.

  5. Pet care: Taking the family’s dogs for walks, feeding them, and providing general care and attention.

  6. Meal planning and preparation: Assisting with meal planning, grocery shopping for meal ingredients, and occasionally preparing meals for the family.

  7. Calendar management: Assisting the mother in managing the family’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, coordinating activities, and keeping track of important dates and events.

  8. Travel arrangements: Assisting with travel arrangements, such as booking flights, accommodations, and transportation, when the family goes on vacations or trips.

The ideal candidate for this position would have the following qualities and qualifications:

  1. Prior experience: Previous experience as a personal assistant and/or nanny is highly desirable. Experience working with multiple children and managing busy schedules is a plus.

  2. Organizational skills: Strong organizational skills are essential to manage multiple tasks and schedules effectively. The ability to prioritize and plan ahead is crucial.
