Say Hello To Our Family:

Our busy and loving family of 4, plus their sweet beagle mix, is seeking a long-term family assistant/nanny to join their team. As working professionals, Dad and Mom value professionalism, organization, and proactive initiative. They are looking for an exceptional individual who is independent, flexible, and able to think two steps ahead. This professional must be reliable, punctual, and ready to hit the ground running, starting promptly at 7:00 am!

Our family has two wonderful children. Their son is 5 years old and full of energy and curiosity. He is confident, strong-willed, and exuberant. He loves spending time outdoors, riding his bike, swimming, and exploring nature. He is passionate about building with Legos and Magna Blocks, and he loves playing with toy cars, construction vehicles, and trains. He is enthusiastic about learning, adores his TK teacher, and enjoys spending 1-on-1 time with both Mom and Dad.

Their daughter is an easy-going sweetheart who adores her older brother and loves to sing, dance, and draw. At the age of 2.5, she is a playful and imaginative child who enjoys pretending to run a pizza parlor, playing doctor, and caring for her stuffed animals and dolls. She is an adventurous eater and displays empathy towards others, often comforting and offering support to her friends.

It is crucial that our family partners with a true professional who is compassionate and patient. Our ideal nanny will have experience working with high-energy, “strong-willed,” children, and will be ready to support our son who has recently undergone a transition in caregivers after four years of stability. Our family is looking for someone who can partner with us to ensure a positive and nurturing transition for both kids. Joining this family means you are ready to make a positive impact with a loving, patient, and nurturing approach during this transitional period.

Their son attends TK in San Anselmo from 8:30 am until 2:05 pm. Then he is picked up and brought to either an aftercare program in Corte Madera or to swimming lessons or other activities. Their daughter attends school in San Anselmo from 8:30 am until around 3 pm. She then naps at home from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm.

Nanny duties in the mornings include: preparing the kids’ breakfasts, packing a lunch for their daughter and snacks for their son, assisting with dressing, brushing teeth, combing hair, and then driving either one or both kids to school.

Once the children are at school, the family assistant duties will commence. After picking up their son and bringing him to his aftercare or after-school activities, you will pick their daughter up and put her down for a nap. Then the family assistant duties will continue. Depending on the day, either the nanny or one of the parents will pick up their son from his aftercare or after-school activities. A dedicated family vehicle is provided for all transportation needs related to work.

As a family assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of their household. Our family is seeking an individual who can handle a range of professional duties and responsibilities. Additionally, both parents strive to create a kind and positive environment, treating anyone working in their home with respect and appreciation. They deeply respect the important work of a nanny/family assistant and value the diverse set of skills required for childcare and household management.

In joining our family, you will not only be valued as a true professional but also have the opportunity to establish a partnership based on trust and consistency with their children. Our family is seeking a career nanny who aligns with their parenting philosophy, which prioritizes raising kind and responsible individuals. As “authoritative” parents, they believe in setting clear rules and expectations, engaging in collaborative problem-solving with their children, and fostering open communication and natural consequences. They also place great emphasis on teaching and modeling developmentally appropriate emotional regulation skills. Your commitment to these principles will contribute to the harmonious growth and development of their children as you work together as a dedicated and supportive team.

Our family is currently seeking a professional who can commit to working 40-60 hours per week, and flexibility is greatly appreciated due to the father’s frequent work travel. The ability to accommodate a weekly or bi-monthly date night is highly valued. The tentative schedule for this role is as follows:
