What roles can I post?
We support all household staffing roles — Nanny, Family Assistant, Nanny + Family Assistant, House Manager, Newborn Care Specialist, Rota Nanny, Nanny Share, Personal Assistant, Housekeeper, and Driver. Our team adjusts rate guidance based on role type and your market.
How is this different from Care.com or a job board?

How long until my job is posted?
Our recruiter reviews your inquiry and sends you a draft posting within 1 business day. Once you approve and payment is confirmed, your role broadcasts the same day. Most families are live within 2 business days of submitting.
What if no one applies?
If your role doesn't attract applicants within the first 7 days, we'll schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation with one of our recruiters to advise you on adjustments that will help attract the right talent — at no extra charge.
Do you handle background checks and vetting?
The Job Advertisement Service covers posting and broadcast. Once you're working with candidates, we offer background checks, reference checks, and hiring guides as add-on services. We'll walk you through your options after your posting is live.
What does W-2 employment mean and is it required?
By law, household employees in the United States must be hired as W-2 employees — not independent contractors. We strongly recommend paying above board — families who do see significantly lower turnover and stronger long-term retention. We work with a trusted household payroll partner to make compliance simple, and we will walk you through it. Hello Nanny! is also working alongside the Workforce Infrastructure Institute (workforceinfrastructureinstitute.org) to advocate for legislative reform that would reclassify childcare as an operational expense — so that families can fund household payroll with pre-tax dollars in the future.
Can I cancel?
Yes — cancel anytime with 30 days notice after your 3-month minimum commitment. Your posting remains active through the end of your paid period.
